ACTIVITIES PROGRAM SUMMARY

EARLY BIRD

EARLY BIRD

This activity takes place during the morning. Due to the parent’s necessity of going to work early in the morning, our school children needed a place where they can stay before starting school, that’s why our school door open from 7 am. to facilitate the teaching task to parents that have different working hours. Children are offered a healthy breakfast and a relax activity “Mindfulness” which children learn different techniques and games to calm down during stressful moments and use time to relax and breath.

Healthy breakfast is included in the project “Watch what I eat” to encourage children, since they are born, to have healthy nutrition habits. This project will be developed at break school time where children have snack, at early bird time where children have breakfast and at lunch time where they will have their main meal.

It is during the infant years when nutrition habits are learnt. There is plenty of data that shows the evidence that the sooner the early years children have good nutrition habits the better health will have during their lifetime. Schools must encourage and teach children what is a good nutrition and why is so important

The stories of the Kamishibai can be infinitive so children will choose whatever stories they want to be represented through the Kamishibai. There is a person who tells the story and turn the pages.

Children will learn new techniques to tell stories while they develop their communication, pre writing, body language, socializing, fine and gross motor skills. Kamishibai is a novelty for children.
